The Turkic Academy and Türkiye Expand Scientific Cooperation

President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev met in Ankara with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, H.E. Ambassador Berris Ekinci.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of cooperation between the Turkic Academy and Türkiye, including broad engagement with scientific institutions and academic circles. Special attention was given to joint research in the field of Turkology and the promotion of the shared heritage of Turkic peoples.

Shahin Mustafayev provided Ambassador Berris Ekinci with a detailed overview of the Academy’s activities in 2024, highlighting the active involvement of Turkish scholars in scientific projects and the implementation of joint academic initiatives. He presented the Academy’s achievements in research, published works and organized events. Additionally, the head of the Academy shared plans for 2025, emphasizing the importance of further expanding academic partnerships with Türkiye.

Ambassador Berris Ekinci highly praised the Turkic Academy’s efforts in scientific integration, stressing its crucial role in the development of the Turkic world. She also expressed support for expanding cooperation between the Turkic Academy and Türkiye’s leading scientific and educational institutions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening scientific collaboration.

The meeting was also attended by Head of the General Directorate on Central Asia and the Organization of Turkic States at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Togan Ural, ministry diplomats and Vice President of the Turkic Academy Askhat Kessikbayev.
