Today, September 22, in Ankara, President of the Turkic Academy, Prof. Dr. Şahin Mustafayev met with Prof. Dr. Osman Mert, President of the Turkish Language Association.
During the meeting, Şahin Mustafayev presented the main areas of the Turkic Academy’s research and spoke about projects aimed at strengthening cooperation among Turkic countries in the field of language. In particular, he presented the Academy’s “Terminological Dictionaries of Turkic Languages” project, which seeks to systematize shared and national terminology and further develop the scientific lexicon of the Turkic languages.
The meeting also addressed cooperation on the Common Turkic Alphabet, including the preparation of recommendations for its practical application and further steps in this area. The potential of artificial intelligence to expand the tools and methodologies available for the study of Turkic languages was also discussed.
Osman Mert highlighted the significance of the Turkic Academy’s work in these areas and expressed his readiness to further develop scientific cooperation.
