Annotation: The "Outstanding Figures of the Turkic World" project, initiated by the Turkic Academy, aims to compile a comprehensive three-volume work highlighting influential individuals who have significantly contributed to human history and the unity of the Turkic world. This initiative aligns with the directives from the VI Summit of the Organization of Turkic States held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, in 2018.

The selection criteria focus on individuals' contributions to global civilization and their roles in unifying the Turkic world. The project encompasses legendary figures such as Oghuz Khagan and Manas, cultural icons like Al-Farabi and Rumi, and modern statesmen including Ismail Gaspirali and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The compilation is structured chronologically: the first volume covers from ancient times to the 13th century, the second spans the 13th to 19th centuries, and the third focuses on the 19th and 20th centuries.

Scheduled for release in 2025, the first volume is being developed with input from member states of the Turkic Academy and renowned Turkologists. This scholarly work aims to serve as an educational resource for students and researchers, fostering a deeper understanding of the shared heritage and promoting unity among Turkic nations.
