Nur-Sultan was held an international conference «The scientific heritage of Akhmet Baitursynov and the intellectual continuity of New Kazakhstan»

The event began with a flower-laying laying flowers ceremony in front of the monument to Alash figures on the Alley of Writers in Nur-Sultan. In the ceremony participated the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Abayev, the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, the Minister of Information and Social Development Darkhan Kydyrali, the Deputy Akim of Nur-Sultan city Eset Baiken, the secretary of the city maslikhat Yerlan Kanalimov, representatives of creative and scientific intelligentsia. This year, the 150th anniversary of the great teacher Ahmet Baitursynuly is widely celebrated at the UNESCO level. The event continued with a scientific conference at the Eurasian National University after L.N.Gumilyov. The event was held by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with the International Turkic Academy, the Eurasian National University after L.N. Gumilyov, the Committee of Language Policy of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the work of the plenary session of the conference participated the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, the Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan D.Kydyrali, the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Abaev, the Rector of the Eurasian National University after L.N. Gumilyov, academician Yerlan Sydykov, the acting President of the International Turkic Academy Fuzuli Majidli, as well as representatives of the United States, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan. The scientists from Turkiye, Turkmenistan, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Poland and other countries made their reports. In his speech, acting President of the Academy noted the similarity of the problems of the modern Turkic world with those vital issues that A.Baitursynuly, M.F. Akhundzade, I.Gaspyraly and other figures of the Turkic world in the 19th and 20th centuries. Focusing separately on the issues of the alphabet reform, the need for convergence of the terminological systems of modern Turkic languages, as well as the creation of a modern common dictionary of Turkic languages, F.Majidli wished successful work to the conference participants. Within the framework of the event was held the presentation of the collection «New archival data about Akhmet Baitursynov and Alash intelligentsia», prepared by the Committee on Language Policy of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, as well as the book «Akhmet Baitursynuly - Teacher of the Nation», the author of which is the Rector of the Eurasian National University named after L. N.Gumilyov Yerlan Sydykov.
