The Turkic Academy Marked the 85th Anniversary of Prominent Turkologist and Statesman Adil Akhmetov

Today, the Turkic Academy held a ceremonial event dedicated to the 85th birthday of Adil Akhmetov, a distinguished representative of Kazakh science and intellectual life, renowned Turkologist, statesman and public figure, diplomat, and former member of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States.

The event was attended by President of the Turkic Academy, Prof. Dr. Shahin Mustafayev, Vice Presidents Askhat Kessikbayev and Bülent Bayram, experts and staff of the Academy, as well as honored guests from Türkiye - Director of the Ahmet Javad Institute, scholar and statesman Prof. Dr. Ruhi Ersoy, and Chairman of the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO, Turkologist Prof. Dr. Öcal Oğuz.

Opening the meeting, President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev emphasized Adil Akhmetov’s significant contribution to the development of Turkology, the strengthening of scientific and humanitarian cooperation among Turkic peoples, and the formation of a common intellectual space of the Turkic world.

During the event, Vice President of the Turkic Academy Askhat Kessikbayev read an official congratulatory letter on behalf of the President of the Academy. Participants extended their sincere congratulations to the honoree and highly appreciated his long-standing contribution to science, diplomacy, and public service.

At the conclusion of the event, Akhmetov expressed his gratitude to the participants for their attention and warm words, emphasizing the importance of preserving the spiritual and academic unity of the Turkic world. On behalf of the Turkic Academy, a commemorative gift was presented to the honoree.
