The 4th Meeting of the Coordination Committee of the Turkic Cooperation Organizations has been held in Istanbul

Today, January 19, the 4th meeting of the Coordinating Council of Turkic Cooperation Organizations was held in Istanbul.

The event was attended by Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, President of Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev, Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) Sultan Raev, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) Mehmet Sureya Er, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoty Raimkulova, as well as representatives of Turkic Cooperation Organizations.

At the meeting, the Heads of the organizations got acquainted with the results of the work done in 2023, and discussed the implementation of the decisions and instructions defined by the Heads of States of the OTS at the 10th Summit in Astana.

Speaking at the meeting, Shahin Mustafayev noted that last year the activity of the Turkic Academy entered a new and more dynamic stage, with a number of new projects and initiatives that secure the conditions necessary for further fulfilling the mission of the Academy, the Summit decisions and the instructions by the Heads of States, as well as the objectives, specified in the Turkic World Vision-2040.

According to him, in 2023, the Academy has expanded the scope of cooperation through new scientific areas such as natural sciences and technologies, while focusing on common academic research projects of different Turkic countries. In addition, in 2023, the Turkic Academy started to establish cooperation platforms, networks, associations among research institutions and centers of different areas with the Secretariat of the OTS, which is to give impetus to the cooperation of scientists from the brotherly countries.

Last year, the Turkic Academy launched 17 multi-year joint projects, which are expected to produce concrete results in 2024 and 2025. In 2023, in general 54 books were published by the Academy.

At the end of the meeting, the "Action Plan of Turkic Cooperation Organizations for 2024" was approved.
