The presentation of the complex and the inscription of Kutlug-Kagan took place in Bursa

The event, which took place as part of the international archaeological and cultural expedition “From Orkhon to Orkhan Gazi”, was attended by a delegation of scientists led by the acting president of the International Turkic Academy Fuzuli Majidli, the director of the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia Gelegdorj Eregzen, the chairman of the Turkish Linguistic Society Gurer Gulsevin, Chairman of the Union of Eurasian Writers Yakub Omeroğlu, Professor Kadyraly Konkobaev, President of the Association of Caucasian Universities Ramazan Korkmaz, Professor of Izmir Katip Çelebi University Shaban Dogan, Head of the Department of History of Yeditepe University, Professor Ahmet Tashagyl, representatives of the intelligentsia and scientists, representatives of the media of fraternal countries. The presentation ceremony, which took place at the Tayyare Cultural Center in Bursa, began with a photo exhibition of the archaeological excavations of the Qutlug Khagan complex and the historical artifacts found there. Acting President of the Academy F. Majidli opened the event and wished success to the seminar participants. After this, the director of the Institute of Archeology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, G. Eregzen, spoke and reported on the results of his scientific archaeological expedition on the Nomgon Plain. He noted that the Nomkhon complex is the most important find of the ancient Turkic era in Mongolia in recent years. At the event dedicated to the presentation of the Kutlug Kagan complex, Altangereliin Enkhtor, head of the Center for Medieval Archaeological Research at the Institute of Archeology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Napil Bazylkhan and Nurbolat Bogenbaev, scientists of the Turkic Academy, gave a detailed report on the ancient Turkic written complex of monuments. Professor Gurer Gulsevin, Ramazan Korkmaz, Ahmet Tashagyl, Hatice Çirin and other scientists also spoke at the presentation and shared their opinions. Scientists focused on the importance of the Kutlug Kagan complex discovered by the Nomgon expedition and noted that this is a landmark event in Turkology. They said that the new discovery is the result of many years of joint scientific work by the Academy and highly appreciated the work of the organization. In particular, a deeper study of the ancient Turkic, Sogdian and Brahmian inscriptions on the stones found in the complex will open new pages of Turkic history. In addition, as part of the presentation, the collections “Tonyukuk” and “Kultegin”, published by the International Turkic Academy, were presented. These books contain scientific and artistic translations of texts from Turkic written monuments into different languages of the world. As part of the event, the Chairman of the Turkish Linguistic Society G. Gulsevin presented the Turkic Academy and the participants of the Nomgon Expedition Napil Bazylkhan, Altangereliin Enkhtor, Nurbolat Bogenbayev, Tserenkhandin Buyankhishig, Gonchigiin Batbold with a special award of the organization. It should be noted that this year, as a result of a scientific archaeological expedition in the Arkhangai region of Mongolia, on the Nomgon valley, conducted jointly by the International Turkic Academy and the Institute of Archeology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, a complex and an inscription dedicated to Elteris Kutlug Kagan were found.
