During his visit to Samarkand, President of the Turkic Academy, Prof. Dr. Shahin Mustafayev met with Evren Rutbil, Director of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS).
During their discussion, both parties explored prospects for scientific collaboration and considered opportunities to implement joint projects aimed at researching the shared historical and cultural heritage of the region.
It is noteworthy that since 2023, a Memorandum of Cooperation has been in effect between the Turkic Academy and IICAS, serving as a foundation for strengthening partnership ties and advancing scientific cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration and emphasized the importance of joint efforts to promote scientific dialogue and integration within the Turkic world and the broader Central Asian region.
