Today, 20 June, President of the Turkic Academy, Prof. Dr. Shahin Mustafayev took part in the unveiling ceremony of a bust of Murat Auezov, the prominent Kazakh scholar, public intellectual, and cultural figure.
The ceremony was held at the Mukhtar Auezov House Museum in Cholpon-Ata. The installation of the bust paid tribute to Murat Auezov’s longstanding contribution to the development of the humanities and to the strengthening of cultural ties among peoples.
The event was also attended by the State Secretary of the Kyrgyz Republic Arslan Koichiev, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Baurzhan Omarov, Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev, as well as representatives of the academic and creative communities, poets, writers, and public figures from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
