The well-known Turkish historian, Professor Ilber Ortaylı visited the Turkic Academy

During his visit to the headquarters of the Turkic Academy, the guest of honor visited the Turkic Museum and Library, where he got acquainted with the personal belongings and book collections of famous Turkologists stored there. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Turkish Embassy in Kazakhstan and employees of the Turkic Academy. During the meeting, issues of the development of scientific cooperation between the Turkic countries in the field of science, culture and preservation of historical heritage, as well as the history of the Turkic intelligentsia and enlighteners’ thought were touched upon. Sh. Mustafayev told İ. Ortaylı about the work of the Turkic Academy and about the implemented projects aiming at deepening and development of scientific integration in the Turkic World. In turn, İlber Ortaylı, who visited the Academy for the first time, expressed his gratitude for the work done. He also wished success in the further work of the Turkic Academy, and donated a number of his books to the library fund. At the end of the meeting, the Head of the Academy thanked the distinguished guest for his visit, and handed him scientific papers published by the organization.
