Today is the National holiday of the Republic of Hungary

Today, the 20th of August, is the National holiday of the Republic of Hungary – the Day of the founder of Hungarian state Saint Istvan.

On August 20, 1000, St. Istvan I ascended the throne, became the first king, and Hungary became an independent state. In this regard, the leadership and staff of the International Turkic Academy sincerely congratulate Hungary on this significant day. It should be noted that the Republic of Hungary received an observer status at the International Turkic Academy in 2018. The Academy and Hungary carry out a number of activities in the field of scientific cooperation.
