Recently, on October 18-19, an international congress titled "The Development of Science in a Globalized World: Turkology, Linguistics, Philology" was held in Almaty, organized by the A. Baitursynov Institute of Language Studies with the support of the Turkic Academy and the International Society "Kazakh Language." The event commemorated the 100th anniversary of the prominent Kazakh linguist, academician, Doctor of Philological Sciences, professor and Turkologist Rabiga Satigaliqyzy Syzdykova.
The congress brought together leading specialists in Turkology and linguistics, scholars from Turkic countries, as well as state and public figures from Kazakhstan.
Additionally, a book exhibition was organized during the congress, showcasing scientific works published by the Turkic Academy in 2023-2024.
During the event, words of congratulation from the President of the Turkic Academy, Shahin Mustafayev, were read, in which he highlighted Rabiga Syzdykova's scientific contributions and significant impact on Turkology.
It is noteworthy that Rabiga Syzdykova's personal library and several personal belongings are preserved in the museum of the Turkic Academy.
The congress spanned two days, featuring sectional meetings on the topics of "Synchronous Aspects of Linguistics" and "Diachronic Aspects of Linguistics." These sessions discussed new scientific paradigms in Kazakh linguistics, philology, and Turkology, as well as the significance of the legacy of Academician R. Syzdykova.
Furthermore, a presentation of the anthology "The Scientific Heritage of Rabiga Syzdykova," which includes the works of the academician, took place during the event.
