Lithuania intends to establish partnership relations with the Turkic Academy

Today, on January 30, 2023, President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev received in Astana the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Kazakhstan (accredited to Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan) Egidijus Navikas.

Shahin Mustafaev, who introduced the museum of the Turkic Academy and published scientific works to the distinguished guest, reported on the ongoing works and initiatives.

Ambassador Egidijus Navikas, who showed interest in the basic projects of the Academy, expressed his intention to establish cooperative relations. He also spoke about the Turkic people living in the Republic of Lithuania and said that he is ready to organize joint activities aimed at preserving their national values.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to consider the possibilities of holding joint events in the future.

The meeting was also attended by Askhat Kesikbayev, the Vice-President of the Turkic Academy, Maksim Davidiuk, the First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Kazakhstan, and Ainur Mayemerova, an Expert of the Turkic Academy.
