Kyrgyzstan declared a Day of national mourning

On September 19, 2022, in the Kyrgyz Republic by the Decree of the President Sadyr Zhaparov a Day of mourning was declared.

According to the Decreeon the Day of national mourning on the whole territory of the country, as well as in diplomatic and consular offices abroad, the state flag of the Kyrgyz Republic will be flown at half mast. In addition, entertainment programs on TV channels will be suspended. It should be noted that as a result of the armed conflict that took place from 14 to 17 of September on the Batken section of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, 59 people were killed and 144 citizens were injured from the side of the Kyrgyz Republic. Currently, the military conflicts on the border have been stopped.
