Today, May 20, President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev participated in the VII General Assembly of the Turkic Universities Union of Turkic states (TURKUNIB). The primary agenda of the meeting was to examine and deliberate on strategies aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the “Orhun” student exchange program.
The international event, held in Baku with the backing of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), was attended by Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanichbek Omuraliev, Chairman of the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Turkey Erol Ozvar, along with rectors from approximately 60 Turkic educational institutions.
During the meeting, key areas for giving new impetus to the "Orhun" student exchange program were discussed. Among the proposals put forward were the continuation of research into the development of higher education space in the Turkic world and the creation of an agency to ensure the quality of higher education in the Turkic world.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the Assembly, President of the Academy Shahin Mustafayev voiced his confidence in the positive impact of fruitful cooperation among the leaders of the Turkic world on the advancement of science and education. He underscored the Academy's unwavering commitment to fostering such synergies.
