Today, the National Academic Library in Astana hosted a ceremonial event titled "National Literature and Art Studies: Historical Lessons and Contemporary Research", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the M. O. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art.
The event, led by the institute's director Kenjehan Matyjanov, brought together prominent literary and art scholars. Participants engaged in discussions on pressing issues in contemporary literature and art studies and showcased the institute's significant publications. Special attention was given to works published with the support of the Turkic Academy.
Among the highlights of the event was the re-presentation of a three-volume collection of works by Magzhan Zhumabayev and a five-volume collection of works by Akhmet Baitursynuly. These publications were prepared to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the renowned poet and the 150th anniversary of the distinguished Alash leader.
On behalf of the Turkic Academy, Vice President Askhat Kessikbayev conveyed congratulations from the Academy's President, Shahin Mustafayev, on the institute's milestone anniversary.
In the address of the Academy's President, it was noted: "The collaboration between the Turkic Academy and the M. O. Auezov Institute, aimed at researching and celebrating the shared heritage of Turkic figures and publishing their works, represents a significant contribution to the spiritual treasury of the Turkic world.
