On October 29, 2024, in the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, the "Kazakh-Mongolian Dictionary" and the "Mongolian-Kazakh Dictionary" were released, prepared by the renowned Altaic scholar Bukatuly Bazylykhan (1932–2012) and the Turkic Academy expert Napil Bazylykhan.
These dictionaries were published during the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to Mongolia. The publication was supported by the President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh. The preface to the work was written by Gomboyazavyn Zandanshatar, head of the Presidential Council of Mongolia.
Each dictionary contains approximately 60,000 words and meets modern lexicographic standards, making them valuable scientific resources for research in Altaic studies, Turkology, Kazakh studies, and Mongolian studies.
The preparation of the dictionaries for publication was organized by the Mongolian editor, Doctor of Philological Sciences and head of the National Council for Language Policy under the President of Mongolia Nyamkhuu Naran-gerel.
