It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of Prof. Dr. Nazaket Mamedli, Chief Researcher at the Muhammad Fuzuli Institute of Manuscripts, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. She was a leading expert on manuscript sources of Sufi literature and a prominent representative of the scientific community in Azerbaijan.
The Turkic Academy extends its heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Mamedli. For many years, she actively collaborated with the Academy, including in the project of translating the works of Ajiniyaz Kosybaylu from Karakalpak into Azerbaijani, which made a significant contribution to the strengthening of cultural ties among Turkic peoples.
Dr. Mamedli's work will serve as an enduring example of dedication to science and respect for the linguistic and cultural heritage of the Turkic world.
