Today, on October 7, 2024, a ceremonial event took place at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, where scientific works published by the Turkic Academy were presented, drawing great interest from the wider scientific community.
The event was attended by the Vice-President of the Turkic Academy, Ashat Kesikbayev, Vice-Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Professor Erkin Duissenov, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Almaty, Evren Muderrisoglu, as well as representatives of the academic community.
Among the presented works was a collection of selected writings by the Crimean Tatar poet and Turkologist scholar Bekir Chobanzade titled "Tíltútka," which was translated into Kazakh for the first time through the initiative of the Turkic Academy. This book includes the author's multivolume works, which are the result of many years of his research.
Additionally, the event featured the Turkic Academy’s project on publishing "Terminological Dictionaries of Turkic Languages," covering over 37 fields. This time, dictionaries related to economics, medicine, and military affairs were presented. This project, which involved experts from all Turkic countries, represents an important step towards the standardization of scientific terminology and the bringing together of scientific communities across Turkic nations.
Furthermore, a monograph by the Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Janseit Tuimebayev, was presented at the event, which opens new horizons for researchers studying Turkic-Mongolian linguistic parallels and is of great significance for the further development of Turkic linguistics.
Speaking at the event’s opening, Vice-President of the Turkic Academy Ashat Kesikbayev conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of the Academy's President, Shahin Mustafayev. He emphasized the importance of each new publication, noting that it is not just scientific work but a significant contribution to the common cause of preserving and enhancing the cultural and historical heritage of the Turkic peoples.
In 2024, the Turkic Academy plans to publish 64 books, which will make a substantial contribution to the development of science and foster stronger academic ties between Turkic countries.
