Today, President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev participated in the international conference "Digitalization and convergence in the Legal Enforcement Activities of the Turkic States" held in Baku.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the meeting, jointly organized by the Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the President of the Turkic Academy emphasized the importance of implementing joint training programs. He noted that such initiatives enhance the capacity of legal specialists and improve the effectiveness of law enforcement in Turkic states.
"To enhance the effectiveness of the strategic document 'Turkic World 2040', it is crucial to foster a robust scientific environment among the Turkic states," noted Mustafayev.
The Turkic Academy convened the third panel session of the conference on the topic "Analysis and Convergence of Civil Law in Turkic States". During the meeting, the Vice-President of the Academy, Askhat Kessikbaev, delved into the contemporary landscape of civil legislation in Turkic countries and proposed collaborating on an annual report on this subject as a collective endeavor.
The two-day event was attended by Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farid Akhmadov, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan Inam Kerimov, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Sadi Jafarov, along with representatives from judicial institutions, judges, prosecutors, and institutions involved in training personnel for the judicial system.
In 2021, the structure of the Turkic legal training community was established with the goal of enhancing cooperation in the field of law and justice, while upholding common legal values and principles.
In 2022, a memorandum of understanding was signed among the organizations involved in judicial training in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and Hungary within the Turkic judicial training community.
Since the launch of this training platform, the conditions for close cooperation among institutions in the participating countries involved in training personnel for the judicial system have markedly improved.
