On June 10, 2023, the President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev took part in the republican ethnographic festival "Ancient Ways of Saryarka", organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This event, which took place on the territory of the Bozok monument, was timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of archaeological excavations at this historical site, the 30th anniversary of the TURKSOY, as well as the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Protection of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and the 10th anniversary of the Concept of Protection and Development of Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Sergazy Sakenov, Leading Researcher, Branch of the A. Margulan Institute of Archaeology, gave information about the archaeological site of Bozok, and presented the ongoing work. This monument, belonging to the Turkic era (VII - IX centuries), was discovered in 1998 by the famous Kazakh archaeologist Kemel Akishev. Thus, the equestrian expedition, which started from the historical monument Bozok near the city of Astana, covers the Tselinograd district of the Akmola region, the Nurinsky district of the Karaganda region and the Ulytau district of the Ulytau region.
