Today, October 29, a presentation of publications by the Turkic Academy took place at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University as part of the scientific seminar, "Language and Literary Heritage – The Foundation of Unity."
The event featured Vice President of the Turkic Academy Askhat Kessikbayev, L.N. Gumilyov University Vice-Rector Ardak Beysenbay, The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Kazakhstan Agalar Atamoglanov, The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Kazakhstan Dastan Dyushekeev, The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov, Counselor on Education of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Türkiye Omer Inan, along with representatives from other diplomatic missions and the academic community.
Among the works highlighted was the first Kazakh translation of “Tıltutqa”, a collection of selected works by the Crimean Tatar poet and Turkologist Bekir Çobanzade, featuring his seminal research on Turkology.
The presentation also featured dictionaries covering economics, medicine and military affairs, developed as part of the Turkic Academy's project to create "Terminological Dictionaries of Turkic Languages." These publications represent a significant step towards standardizing scientific terminology, facilitating unified approaches in research activities, and enhancing collaboration among scholars across various disciplines.
Additional works included “Makhtumkuli”, a monograph by Ahmet Burhan commemorating the 300th anniversary of the renowned Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Pyragy, and “Ali bey Huseynzade” by Azer Turan, which honors a pivotal figure in Turkic cultural and scientific heritage.
The collection “Sagynysh sazdary” (“Özlem Terennümleri”) featuring Azerbaijani poets Muhammad Huseyn Shahriyar and Bulud Karachorlu Sahand also sparked interest, underscoring the importance of literary heritage in strengthening cultural bonds.
In his address, Vice President of the Turkic Academy Askhat Kessikbayev conveyed greetings on behalf of President Shahin Mustafayev, emphasizing that each publication by the Academy is not only a scholarly achievement but also a vital contribution to the scientific integration of Turkic nations.
Participants expressed their gratitude to the Turkic Academy for its significant contributions to preserving and developing the cultural heritage of the Turkic world. They noted that such publications foster a unified scientific space and enhance opportunities for knowledge exchange among scholars of the Turkic world.
