President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev participated in the opening ceremony of the X International Congress of Turkic Language in Ankara, organized by the Turkish Linguistic Society to promote the scientific study of Turkic languages.
This event, held in conjunction with the celebration of Turkish Language Day on September 26, gathered around 200 scholars from 21 countries under the banner of a shared cultural heritage—the Turkic language.
Among the distinguished guests were Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye Serdar Çam, Chair of the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History Derya Örs, Ambassador of Turkmenistan Mekan Ishankulov, along with other representatives from the diplomatic corps and academic circles of Turkic nations.
The Congress featured thematic sections where leading experts discussed the latest advancements in the study of Turkic languages from an interdisciplinary perspective. Special attention was given to contemporary research methods and the preservation of linguistic heritage.
Experts, including representatives from the Turkic Academy, delivered presentations on new approaches in linguistics and cultural studies, facilitating a profound exchange of ideas and strengthening scientific collaboration among the related nations.
Additionally, President of the Academy participated in the award ceremony recognizing contributions to the development of the Turkic language, presenting a special award to Hungarian Turkologist András Róna-Tas for his significant contributions to Turkology.
