Annotation:The Turkic Academy has initiated the project "Sacred Geography of the Turkic World: Archaeological and Architectural Monuments" to systematically inventory significant sites across the Turkic-speaking regions. This comprehensive study encompasses countries directly associated with Turkic culture and areas where Turkic peoples have left a notable cultural legacy. The project aims to compile a three-volume atlas: the first volume will cover the Balkans, Tuürkiye and Northern Cyprus; the second and third volumes will focus on Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and regions within the Russian Federation, including the Republic of Altai, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Khakassia, Tuva and others. This endeavor seeks to enhance understanding of the historical and cultural significance of these monuments, promoting scholarly research and fostering greater appreciation of the shared heritage among Turkic nations.
