The conference "Torekulov Readings: Diplomacy and National interests" was held at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University

The Faculty of International Relations of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU has been traditionally holding Torekul readings since 2013. This year's conference is dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh diplomat Nazir Torekulov. The event was attended by Permanent Secretary Askhat Kessikbayev of the International Turkic Academy Askhat Kesikbayev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Omarov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Berik Aryn, Deputy Secretary General of the Council for Interaction and Confidence-building Measures in Asia (CICA) Chi Fan, foreign diplomatic corps registered in Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of the embassies of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Palestine, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and a number of state and public figures, domestic and foreign scientists (representatives of India, Spain and Turkey). The Permanent Secretaryof the Academy Askhat Kesikbayev, who took part in the conference, made a report on the activities of Nazir Torekulov in the field of diplomacy and his role for the Turkic World.
