International presentation of the memorial complex in honor of Kutlug Khagan took place in Tashkent

The event was held at the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi. The conference began with an exhibition of photographs of archaeological excavations in the complex in honor of Kutlug Khagan and historical artifacts found in it. The Acting President of the International Turkic Academy Fuzuli Majidli, Shukhrat Sirojiddinov - the Rector of the Tashkent University of the Uzbek language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi, the Chairman of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sirozhiddin Saidov, Azerbaijani scientist, academician Sudeif Imamverdiyev, the Director of Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Uzbekistan Samir Abbasov, the Chairman of the Kazakh National Cultural Center of Uzbekistan Serikbay Usenov, Nodirbek Zhurakuziev - the Acting Vice-Rector for Science of Tashkent University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi, the Professor of the Uzbek State University of World Languages, Doctor of Philology Makhanbet Dzhusupov, nation-wide Poet of Karakalpakstan Muzaffar Ahmedov, a poet, writer, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Uzbekistan Muhammad Ali, the Director of the Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan Farhod Maksudov, Turkologists Gaibulla Babayarov and Feruza Jumaniyazova, an expert of the Turkic Academy Napil Bazylkhan, as well as representatives of the intelligentsia and scientists attended in the work of the conference. Speaking at the opening of the event, the Acting President of the Academy F.Majidli informed about the work of the Turkic Academy in Mongolia and talked about the complex, dedicated to Kutlug Khagan, which was discovered this year on the Nomgon plain. Also during the event the expert of the Turkic Academy Napil Bazylkhan spoke in detail about this complex and about the found ancient Turkic written monument. Uzbek scientists F.Maksudov, G.Babayarov, F.Jumaniyazova also talked about the importance of the Kutlug Khagan complex, noting the significance of this event for the world Turkology. They highly appreciated the merits of the Organization, noting that the discovery is the result of many years of scientific work. An in-depth study of the ancient Turkic, Sogdian and Brahmi inscriptions found in the complex opens up new pages of Turkic history. At the end of the conference, Uzbek Turkologists F.Maksudov and G.Babayarov were awarded the Wilhelm Thomsen medal for their great contribution to the field of Turkic studies. We remind that this year, as a result of a scientific archaeological expedition in the Arkhangay aimag of Mongolia, on the Nomgon plain, a memorial complex and an inscription dedicated to Elteris Kutlug Khagan were found as a result of the joint work of the International Turkic Academy and the Institute of Archeology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. Thus, the event of the Academy, dedicated to Kutlug Khagan, began in Ulaanbaatar and continued in the cities of Astana, Bursa, Baku, Bishkek and Tashkent.
