Senators of Kazakhstan got acquainted with the work of the Turkic Academy

On December 6, 2023, deputies of the Parliament of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the Turkic Academy.

The delegation of the Committee on International Relations, Defense and Security of the Senate was received by Prof. Shahin Mustafayev, the President of the Turkic Academy.

The meeting was attended by the deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Darkhan Kydyrali, Mr. Galiaskar Sarybaev, Mr. Alisher Satvaldiev, Mr. Gennady Shipovskikh, as well as the Vice-president of the Turkic Academy Mr. Askhat Kessikbayev and Adviser to the President Mr. Tleuzhan Seksenbay.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on issues common to the Turkic world - in particular, science and education, cultural and humanitarian ties, as well as scientific innovation.

The President of the Academy Prof. Shahin Mustafayev informed the distinguished guests on the activities of the Academy and the scientific projects it is implementing. He also noted that to date, new initiatives have already been taken and approved at a high level to expand the scope of activity of the Turkic Academy not only in the humanitarian sphere, but also in other fields of science, and that Kazakh scientists are also participating in these projects.

In its turn, Mr. Darkhan Kydyrali, the Secretary of the Committee, noted that thanks to the development of scientific integration the unity of the Turkic peoples is strengthening, and currently the authority of the OTS in the world community has grown noticeably.

In this regard, he also noted that the leaders of the fraternal countries pay special attention to the development of cooperation in the Turkic world, and in the future the Kazakh side will continue to support the initiatives of the Turkic Academy in this direction.

“Recently, at the 10th anniversary summit of the OTS, held in Astana, the Heads of State made important decisions aimed at further developing cooperation between our fraternal countries. At the same time, the Parliament of Kazakhstan is also ready to support the strengthening of scientific integration in the legislative aspect, as well as from other sides,” said Darkhan Kydyrali.

At the end of the meeting, the Senate deputies expressed gratitude to the head of the Academy, highly appreciating the work done by the Turkic Academy and its projects to be implemented in the future.

In its turn, Prof. Shahin Mustafayev presented to the Parliament delegation the books published by the Academy in honor of the significant dates of 2023.

In addition, the distinguished guests visited the Turkic Museum and Library, where they got acquainted with the personal belongings of famous Turkic scholars and book collections stored over there.
