At the meeting, the parties discussed ways of establishment of close scientific ties between the Academy and the Institute. The President of the Turkic Academy noted that Karakalpak scholars can apply to the Academy’s projects. In his turn, Makset Karlybaev thanked Shahin Mustafaev for the special visit and declared his readiness to cooperate with the Academy. At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Turkic Academy and the Research Institute for the Humanities of Karakalpakstan. It should be noted that the Karakalpak Scientific Research Institute for the Humanities was established in 2012 on the basis of the N. Davkaraev Institute of Language and Literature and the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography. Its main goal is to study the history, language, literature and folklore of the peoples of the South Aral Sea region and Karakalpakstan.
