The Acting President the Turkic Academy participated in the conference «Akhmet Baitursynuly and the Turkic civilization»

The Acting President of the International Turkic Academy Fizuli Majidli, Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Turkey Yerkebulan Sapiyev, Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Istanbul Alim Bayel, Rector of Istanbul University Mahmut Ak, as well as Alash scientists and Turkologists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey attended in the event, which took place at Istanbul University. Speaking at the opening of the conference, the Acting President of the Turkic Academy F.Majidli noted that Akhmet Baytursynuly was a leader who influenced the spirituality of the entire Turkic world, who carried out major reforms in the development of the state-political system, education of language and information. F. Majidli said that: «Akhmet Baitursynuly, while working in the government of Alash-Orda, contributed to the unity of the Turkic world and the idea of a united Turkestan. The path of a fighter for Turkic unity was similar to the ideological views of the leader of the Bashkir autonomy Zaki Validi Togan, as well as the state and political figure of Azerbaijan Mammad Amin Rasulzade. A.Baitursynuly worked side by side with representatives of the intelligentsia of the Kyrgyz people - such as Ishanaly Arabaev, Kassym Tynystanov, as well as the Tatar people Galimdzhan Ibragimov, held high positions». The conference was chaired by the Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Yeshenkulov. The books of the researcher Raihan Imahanbet «Asrın Adamı» and «Ahmet Baitursynuly. Selected Works» (in Kazakh, Turkish, English, Russian), prepared by the International Turkic Academy, were presented in the framework of the event. Besides, a book exhibition, dedicated to the work of Akhmet Baitursynuly and a photo exhibition dedicated to the life and activity of the Teacher of the Nation were organized within the framework of the conference, as well as a video was shown on the topic «Kazakh civilization and Akhmet Baitursynuly».
