During the meeting, Sh. Mustafayev acquainted the Ambassador with the work of the organization related to archaeological excavations, researches in the fields of Altaic and Turkic studies, as well as the history of the Golden Horde, and expressed gratitude for the support by the Mongolian side to joint scientific projects. The parties also agreed to continue archaeological expeditions to the ancient Turkic complexes in Mongolia. Sh. Mustafayev noted that the leadership of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences for the fırst time took part as an honored guest in the VI meeting of the Union of Academies of Sciences of the Turkic World, held recently in Almaty, and told that he considered this event a tribute to the work of the Turkic Academy by the academic community of Mongolia. In turn, D. Bayarkhuu told that Mongolia is interested in deepening scientific cooperation and continuing to work on joint projects. In this regard, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing close cooperation between the Turkic Academy and the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia, as well as the possibility of obtaining an observer status in the organization for this country.
