The Turkic Academy and the "Magyar-Turan" International Foundation expand cooperation

The chairman of the International Fund "Magyar-Turan", anthropologist Andras Biro specially visited the Turkic Academy and got acquainted with the work of the Organization in the framework of his visit to Kazakhstan. During the visit A.Biro looked over the Turkic Museum and Library, where he got acquainted with valuable exhibits and the personal book fund of Istvan Kongur Mandoky. At the meeting, the Acting President of the International Turkic Academy noted the importance of the traditionally held Kurultai in Hungary under the leadership of A.Biro in strengthening cooperation between the Hungarian and Turkic peoples. F.Majidli noted the work of the Turkic Academy to promote the works of Hungarian scientists, which formed the basis of scientific continuity and cultural ties throughout the Turkic world. In addition, he called on the Hungarian side to cooperate closely in the field of Turkic studies and anthropology. In turn, A.Biro highly appreciated the work of the Turkic Academy in studying the common heritage of countries, increasing the brotherhood of peoples. He expressed readiness to develop scientific cooperation and further implement joint projects. In addition, A.Biro suggested that the Turkic Academy together with the International Fund «Magyar-Turan», organize an exhibition in Budapest, dedicated to Kutlug Khagan in December. At the end of the meeting, F.Majidli thanked the Chairman of the International Fund «Magyar-Turan» and handed him valuable books of the Academy, published in the field of anthropology. It is worth noting that in 2018 Hungary received an Observer status at the International Turkic Academy and became the first country to receive this status in the institutions of cooperation of the Turkic world. This year, in the Hungarian city of Bugac, a Memorandum on further strengthening of mutual partnership between the International Turkic Academy and the «Magyar-Turan» Foundation was signed at the 7th International Kurultai of the Hunno-Turkic peoples.
