An international conference dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of M.O. Auezov has started its work in Almaty

The solemn event began with a flower-laying ceremony at the monument to the writer. The purpose of the conference is to determine the place and role of the great writer in the history of world civilization and the human mind, strengthening literary ties between Kazakh and world literature, analyzing the history and modern trends in the development of Kazakh literature, promoting the best ideals based on universal human values and the Alash paradigm in the writer’s legacy. Leading scientists, intellectuals and young scientists from Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Azerbaijan, Russia, Hungary,Netherlands and other countries take part in the conference. The conference was organized by the International Turkic Academy, the international organization TURKSOY, the Institute of Literature and Art named after. M.O. Auezov, the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of Almaty.
