Today, on May 25, 2025, the Turkic Academy marks the 15th anniversary of its establishment.
The initiative to create the Academy was proposed by Kazakhstan and supported by other member states during the Summit of the Heads of Turkic States held in Nakhchivan on October 3, 2009. Building on this joint vision, the Turkic Academy was officially launched on May 25, 2010, in Astana.
The Agreement on the establishment of the Academy was signed by the Heads of State at the 2012 Summit in Bishkek. Following the ratification of the Agreement and other founding documents by the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye, the Academy has operated as a fully-fledged international organization since 2022.
Over the past 15 years, the Turkic Academy has implemented numerous scientific projects, published hundreds of academic works and established itself as a key platform for scholarly cooperation across the Turkic World.
We extend our sincere congratulations to the member states and observer countries on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Turkic Academy!
