The Turkic Academy extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the distinguished Azerbaijani historian, orientalist, poet, translator, and scholar of medieval Azerbaijani and Middle Eastern history, Shahin Fazil oglu Farzaliev, as well as to the entire academic community of Azerbaijan.
Shahin Farzaliev was not only a respected scholar but also a wise mentor who guided generations of researchers. His academic work and translations made a significant contribution to the advancement of historical science, enriching the cultural heritage of the Turkic world.
We will remember him as one of the most outstanding historians of his time, who dedicated his life to preserving and enhancing the rich historical legacy of Azerbaijan.
