On September 21, 2023, in Astana, the Turkic Academy jointly with the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University held an international scientific seminar "The Heritage of the Outstanding Cultural Figures of the Turkic World" dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the prominent educator and poet of the Kyrgyz people Moldo Niyaz, the 150th anniversary of the outstanding thinker, poet and philosopher of the Turkish people Mehmet Akif Ersoy, as well as the 120th anniversary of the famous poet and publicist of the Uzbek people Gafur Gulyam.
The event, held at the Eurasian National University, was dedicated to the study of the creative heritage of outstanding cultural figures of the Turkic world, emphasizing the historical connection of fraternal countries and cultural continuity in their common history. At the opening of the seminar, Vice-President of the Turkic Academy Askhat Kessikbayev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University Serik Makysh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan Saidikram Niyazkhodzhayev, First Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkiye in the Republic of Kazakhstan İpek Ainuksa, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Kazakhstan Cholpon Ismailova. Within the framework of the event, the Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs and Innovations of the Institute of Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan Manzura Otazhanova, Professor of Eskişehir Osmangazi University İbrahim Şahin, senior researcher of the Fund of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Kyrgyzstan "Muras" Gulzada Narmamatova, Professor of the Department of Turkology of the Eurasian National University Amantai Sharip, Associate Professor of the Kazakh Literature Department of the Eurasian National University Bolat Kurganbekov, Associate Professor of the Department of Turkology of the Eurasian National University Gulbakram Zhiembayeva, who shared their knowledge about the life and work of outstanding personalities.
