Meetings Held in Islamabad to Strengthen Cooperation Between the Turkic Academy and Pakistan

During his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Vice President of the Turkic Academy Askhat Kessikbayev held a series of significant official meetings in the capital city, Islamabad.

In particular, negotiations took place with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atadjan Movlanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Pakistan İrfan Neziroglu, Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Pakistan Nurlan Smagulov, Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rovshan Alimov, Representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Pakistan Dilshad Shenol, as well as with the head of the Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH), Professor Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary.

During the meetings, Askhat Kessikbayev conveyed warm greetings on behalf of the President of the Turkic Academy, Prof. Dr. Shahin Mustafaev and provided detailed information about the Academy’s activities, its scientific priorities, international initiatives and major projects implemented in recent years.

He also emphasized that the primary goal of the visit to Islamabad was to develop scientific cooperation between the Turkic Academy and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Vice President stated that, as part of the visit, he held substantive discussions with representatives of the country’s governmental and educational institutions.

In turn, the diplomats and the head of COMSTECH highly appreciated the work of the Turkic Academy on the international stage, wished success in its activities and expressed their readiness to provide comprehensive support in implementing the upcoming initiatives.
