Today, on February 7, 2024, extraordinary presidential elections are being held in the Republic of Azerbaijan. In this regard, the President of the Turkic Academy, Shahin Mustafaev, went to the polling station No. 41 located in the building of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Astana and cast his vote.
It should be noted that in December of last year, President Ilham Aliyev signed the Decree on holding extraordinary presidential elections in the country.
Today's elections are important because they cover the entire territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the first time.
A total of 6,500 polling stations are operating, including those in foreign countries. About 800 foreign and 90 thousand local observers are monitoring the election process, and more than 200 foreign journalists are broadcasting the elections.
