Today, President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev attended the ceremony of presentation of the books at the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the distinguished statesman Temirbek Zhurgenov.
The International Organization of Turkic Culture, TURKSOY, which prepared the works, declared last year as the year of Temirbek Zhurgenov. In this context, various events were organized throughout the year. In addition, the book "Commissar Zhurgenov" by Beybit Koishybayev was translated into Turkish, and the book "Temirbek Zhurgenov: Victory and Tragedy" by Almazhan Utegaliyeva was published in Russian.
In his speech, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev said that it is the duty of today and future generations to determine the place of such a distinguished person in our history and to examine his legacy.
Statesmen and public figures, members of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the National Congress under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, poets, writers, intellectuals, journalists and readers attended the event.
