The 27th session of the Scientific Council of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) took place in Istanbul. The session was attended by President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev, who is also a member of the IICAS Scientific Council, along with representatives from the academic communities of Turkic countries.
Key topics of the session included the approval of the agenda, a review of memoranda of understanding signed for 2024 and discussions on the prospects of new joint projects.
The Turkic Academy and IICAS share a strong partnership based on collaboration in conducting research and implementing projects that focus on preserving and studying the shared cultural heritage of Turkic peoples. This partnership has also resulted in the publication of several books addressing critical topics related to the history, culture and science of the region.
