On March 3rd President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev spoke at the panel that took place at the NEST Congress Center and titled “The Role of Culture and Education in Regional Cooperation”
Among the Academy President, the panel also featured Director of the Council of Higher Education of Turkey Erol Özvar, General Director of the Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) Mahmud Erol KILIÇ and President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoty Raiymkulova. The meeting was moderated by the TRT WORLD presenter Alican Ayanlar.
During his speech Shahin Mustafayev emphasized the pivotal role of regional organizations in global politics.
Mustafayev also highlighted how regional collaboration in culture, science and education fosters understanding, tolerance and empathy among societies.
Regarding technology, he recognized the power of digitalization. He urged for inclusive education and teacher training to keep up with tech advances.
In conclusion, the President of the Turkic Academy called for collective efforts to harness the potential of education, culture, and technology in advancing diplomacy and peacebuilding.
