The President of the Turkic Academy took part in the 40th meeting of the Permanent Council of TURKSOY

On October 13, 2023, the 40th Meeting of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of TURKSOY was held in Shusha.

Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev, President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev, Secretary General of TURKPA Mehmet Sureyya Er, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Adil Kerimli, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Shusha Aydin Kerimov, First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic Kairat Imanaliev, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Turkish Republic Serdar Cham, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bahodir Akhmedov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Fikri Ataoglu, Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kumis Seitova are taking part in the meeting. According to the adopted procedure, the work done by TURKSOY was discussed at the meeting, tasks and plans for 2024 were defined and appropriate decisions were made. At the opening ceremony of the meeting, Secretary General TURKSOY Sultan Raev noted that the current meeting coincided with an important anniversaries. He said that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of Turkiye and the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY. Speaking at the meeting, Mustafayev stressed that the Turkic Academy, created to accelerate integration in the field of science and education in the Turkic world, is in very close cooperation with the TURKSOY organization. In this regard, he noted that the Turkic Academy undertakes many new and complex projects for the scientific study of the common Turkic history, language, culture, as well as organizes events in different parts of the Turkic world. At the end of his speech, the President of the Academy highlighted the importance of creating common platforms and mechanisms in various fields to support the scientific and educational integration of the Turkic world, and stated that in order to carry out long-term activities, the Turkic Academy will support the initiatives of partner organizations such as TURKSOY and the Turkic Foundation for Culture and Heritage.
