President of the Turkic Academy took part in an international conference in Tashkent

Today in Tashkent, President of the Turkic Academy, Prof. Dr. Shahin Mustafayev, took part in an international conference dedicated to the historical and cultural heritage of the Karakhanid era, which played a crucial role in the formation and development of the Turkic-Islamic world.

The conference, held within the framework of Uzbekistan’s Chairmanship Roadmap in the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), was organized as part of the 8th General Assembly of the Union of Turkic Universities (TÜRKÜNİB). The event brought together leading scholars, historians, and experts from Turkic countries, who discussed key aspects of the historical and cultural legacy of the Karakhanid period, the development of Turkic script, the first translations of the Quran into Turkic languages, the religious and ethnic dynamics in Turan during the 9th–13th centuries, as well as the role of scientific centers and cultural processes of that time.

In his remarks, President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev emphasized that the Karakhanid era played a pivotal role in shaping the spiritual and cultural foundations of the Turkic-Islamic world. He also highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting the heritage of the Karakhanids, noting that the Turkic Academy is actively implementing research and international projects aimed at studying and advancing this significant historical period.
