President of the Turkic Academy Attends the 8th General Assembly of the Turkic University Union (TÜRKÜNİB)

Today, President of the Turkic Academy, Prof. Dr. Shahin Mustafayev, took part in the 8th General Assembly of the Turkic University Union (TÜRKÜNİB) held in Tashkent.

The Assembly was organized within the framework of Uzbekistan’s Chairmanship Roadmap in the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and brought together rectors of leading universities and representatives of the academic community from Turkic countries. The participants discussed ways to strengthen scientific and educational cooperation among the Turkic states, develop joint research projects, and expand academic mobility.

In his address, Mustafayev emphasized the important role of TÜRKÜNİB in fostering cooperation among Turkic countries in the field of higher education and science. He also noted that the Turkic Academy actively contributes to this process through various initiatives aimed at advancing the Common Turkic Alphabet, studying the history, language, and culture of Turkic peoples, and supporting young researchers.

“Our shared future is being shaped at the intersection of education, scientific cooperation, and the energy of our youth. Therefore, the collaboration among the universities of the Turkic countries is not merely an academic task, but a strategic necessity,” said Mustafayev.
